Overview 

This individual, with support of the SVP of Operations, will be responsible for driving the NPI Process from within Operations.  This role will be the primary partner with Product Development, Marketing, and PMO to guarantee successful launch of new products for the brand. This position will also lead optimization projects for existing projects as well as be responsible for NPI process improvement implementations.   


What You’ll Do 

  • Manage, facilitate and enforce the New Product Introduction Stage Gate process, from project initiation to completion of commercialization for all new product launches. 

  • Drive weekly meetings and collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, including Marketing, Product Development, Packaging, Finance, Creative, Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers. 

  • Create and manage development timelines, in conjunction with PMO, and hold team members accountable to tasks and deadlines. 

  • Gather requirements from internal partners and external vendors (i.e. regulatory, packaging requirements) and incorporate into timelines. 

  • Manage the artwork approval process, ensuring timeline adherence and compliance through stakeholders’ sign-off and approval. 

  • Continuously communicate project status and risks; proactively identify and escalate issues, dependencies, and gaps to execute risk mitigation plans. 

  • Conduct project post-mortem and implement key learnings to drive continuous improvement of stage gate and launch process. 

  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently with high attention to detail. 

  • Guide the creation of new processes to support team efficiency and improve scalability. 

  • Champion internal defined objectives, including innovation and sustainability, across launch processes. 

  • Provide support to cross functional teams and assume leadership in special projects. 

  • Interface with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure new item production feasibility and readiness. 

  • Actively contribute to value analysis, risk management, and continuous process harmonization. 

  • Complete ad-hoc tasks to help drive project and brand development forward. 


What We Are Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree and Minimum 4–5 years of experience in project management, packaging, or product development, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, or related industry. 

  • Experience working with vendors, contract manufacturers, and external stakeholders. 

  • Ability to travel to vendors and plants (10–15% of the time) 

  • Availability to work on-site in El Segundo a minimum of 3 days per week 

  • Demonstrated success in leading NPI, Stage Gate, and or Operational Development process using best practices, including change management and process building. 

  • Strong project management background with emphasis in packaging, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain. 

  • Impeccable attention to detail and ability to drive results quickly in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with cross-functional collaboration experience. 

  • Ability to manage documentation, materials, and data across multiple concurrent projects. 

  • Proficiency in Asana, SmartSheet, Excel, MS Project, and or NetSuite preferred  

  • Capability to coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and cost-effective solutions. 

  • Experience supporting innovation and sustainability in new product development. 

  • Understanding of Packaging and Manufacturing for consumer goods 

  • Financial acumen for cost analysis and control, feasibility study creation, and risk management  

  • Experience guiding marketing and Product development briefs and alignment with design and regulatory considerations. 

  • Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships. 

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and creative problem-solving abilities. 

  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship needs.
